Response to “In defense of food”

“Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.” The short and sweet slogan is enough to capture the main idea of the whole book. “In defense of food” is not just a advocating book on eating more vegetable for the sake of better health, but also providing new insights on nutritionism as well as the unhealthy Western diet. The book does not give common sense knowledge on the health benefits of eating plants, but offering compelling arguments on why we should consume more of them.

Personally, I really enjoy the book. I love the way the author presents the facts and arguments in an organized and logical way. By putting different ideas into different categories with clear titles, the book is very easy to follow and understand.
